GENERAL INFO ON  BULLYING AWARENESS YEAR.

Year of Awareness – a year’s worth of constant focussing on and
analysing the issue. Jan – Dec (calendar year) or Sept – July
(school year).

Obviously involving schools the project also involves the general
public and media, i.e. the whole of society. Not just a school
problem, bullying deeply affects families and society over very
many years.

Brought about and driven forward by one person’s experiences -
children can learn what bullying can do.

The project should be enjoyable, uplifting, fun. Pop celebrities,
sports’ and other personalities to support and promote. Features
and columns in pop mags, etc. A song to be recorded by children
and released during the Year to promote the anti-
bullying message. Perhaps also a film.
